Like a boat moored to its port, the project weaves tense links with its context. Our project reveals the treetops above the attic, allowing views from the public space to the heart of the block…
Two entities highlight the surrounding landscape: the viewpoint and the block’s heart. The block is permeable to circulation and creates a planted frontage along the street, creating a distancing effect from the road.
Our low-carbon approach achieves a CO2 emission of 400kg/m² built (BBCA level): minimizing impact on the land (compact plots, semi-elevated parking, soil reuse) and reducing energy needs (southern orientation, cross-through apartments, CLT panel construction with bio-sourced insulation).
The distribution of all housing units is done through the walkways. These, with their wide landings, combine the qualities of individual housing and communal living, offering a value-added socialization space. The organization of the housing units facilitates natural ventilation, natural lighting, and adaptability to lifestyle changes.
