The project offers a harmonious balance between built structures and nature. It is organized into three volumes arranged in a semicircle, providing views of the conifer trees to the north and the vegetated mounds to the south and east. The fragmented massing of the buildings blends seamlessly with the surrounding neighborhood. The buildings’ shallow depth and access via exterior walkways allow all units to be dual-aspect and to benefit from either a balcony or a private garden. These walkways, shared by two to three apartments, create semi-private spaces that residents can appropriate and personalize.

Circulation is designed to minimize the impact of cars; vehicles are confined to the entrance of the site, with the rest of the plot dedicated to pedestrians and cyclists. The landscaped parking area and private gardens feature native and melliferous plants that require minimal maintenance.

The structure combines insulating brick and timber framing, using bio-based insulation and a wooden cladding to reduce environmental impact. The project is based on “low-tech” solutions: it maximizes natural light, ensures natural ventilation through dual-aspect units, and uses balconies as passive solar shading devices.
