2022 - Sketch
At the heart of the community third place, an existing multipurpose hall (formerly the greenhouses of a nursery) becomes the stage for various expressions. Heated spaces are created within a closed-covered buffer space that is not heated. A central multipurpose hall is arranged, which can expand with a sliding covered system or even extend outdoors. The activity rooms encourage exchange, learning, and collaborative creation. In the buffer spaces, there is a solidarity café, where bonds are formed over a cup, and the community market bringing together local producers and artisans. In connection with this alternative program, a strong commitment to the environment stands out. The restructuring of the existing glass greenhouses is part of a bold 3R approach: Reduction, Reuse, Recycling. The reused metal framework reflects a desire to give a second life to materials, while the insulation made of chopped straw in FOB, the wooden cladding from local sources, embody a virtuous decarbonized approach.
