2018 - Preliminary final design
To restore unity and clarity to the Esvière site, while initiating its transformation into a training center, are the central points of reflection present from the inception of the project. Work begins on both the restructuring and enhancement of existing structures as well as landscaping. The ambition of the program - including training rooms, accommodations, rooms for missionaries and students, social spaces, an auditorium, etc. - surpasses the current capacities of the site, thus a new building takes its place between the garden and the existing buildings. Extending towards the park and integrating with the various adjacent buildings, it becomes a pivotal point of the project. Outside, the demolition of the large dividing wall on the site allows for the creation of a paved pathway. This pedestrian space becomes the connecting element between the different buildings on the site. It traverses a landscaped area, artfully blending vegetated spaces with parking areas in an alternating and cohesive manner. Between three buildings forming a courtyard, a cloister is inserted, offering a genuine open-air meeting and socializing space.
