Status

2023 - Completed

A versatile and understated project, capable of fitting into various contexts while enabling the recharging of electric vehicles through charging stations powered by solar panels: these are the constraints integrated into this solar canopy project. This project was designed to be implemented in the heart of several municipalities in Yvelines. Currently, 13 versions of these small structures are built or in the process of being approved, but the project is ongoing, and additional installations are expected to be established in other cities within the department. The natural Douglas fir structure contributes to the consideration of the building’s life cycle, enhancing the balanced aesthetics of the canopy: wooden truss beams and dovetailed assemblies. Each project location and roof slope has been studied to maximize the electrical production of the canopies. Additionally, the wooden structure supports a metal mesh allowing for the growth of climbing plants to create a cool island and support biodiversity.
